When We Are Closed

closed signNHS 24 is the clinical telephone health information, advice and referral service in Scotland.

Should you need emergency care when the practice is closed outwith normal surgery hours (see link above to view our opening hours), please contact NHS 24 on 111 (free phone).  Should you ring the surgery;  a message will advise you to contact NHS 24

NHS 24 is an essential part of the Tayside out of hour’s arrangements. If you or someone you care for is unwell and you feel you can’t wait until the Practice re-opens then you can call NHS 24 and speak to an experienced nurse or health information advisors who will assess the situation and advise you on what to do next, for example, see another health professional or explain how to look after yourself at home.

NHS 24 does not replace out of hours care. Rather, NHS 24 works with the local out of hours service to make sure that people who are ill are provided with the right care at the right time and by the right health professional.   NHS 24 website - www.nhs24.scot
